...or only 240 hours 'til our honeymoon!
22.12.2008 - 31.12.2008 50 °F
It's freezing! I realize I'm a good ol' gal from the woods of upstate New York and this mild 50 degree weather should feel balmy compared to what they're dealing with right now, but... I've gone soft. I'm cold! And that's just one reason to be excited to head off on our honeymoon.
With the exception of paying for the trip and doing some mild research on international customs, we haven't really prepared much yet. Oh, we rented a flat in Barcelona for a few days and a hotel in Paris on the way back, but seriously - we have a lot to do. Perhaps get some maps, research the museums and ruins we want to see, find out about food and hygiene.... All important.
But it's Christmas... and then New Year's Eve. We haven't much time to pull those together, much less our honeymoon. It will all come together in the end.
Here's what we have planned:
Jan 2-5 in Barcelona, Spain.
Embark Jan 5 at 6 PM on our cruise. We'll spend a day cruising and then hit these countries:
* 07-Jan Palermo (Sicily), Italy
* 08-Jan Cruising
* 09-Jan Piraeus (Athens), Greece
* 10-Jan Rhodes, Greece
* 11-Jan Limassol, Cyprus
* 12-Jan Alexandria, Egypt
* 13-Jan Cruising
* 14-Jan Valletta, Malta
* 15-Jan Cruising
* 16-Jan Barcelona, Spain
Jan 16th we head to the airport and begin our trek home... stopping for an overnight layover in Paris! Pretty sweeeeet!
We looked at the ship online the other night and Craig paled a little. "We're going to be stuck... on that boat. For days." I laughed and told him that it's like a floating city.
"Cities don't float. Remember Atlantis?"
He'll be okay.
Off we go... the countdown... IS ON.
